Corrections liason Marilyn Davidson told a senate panel health care for inmates over the age of 40 cost more than $7.5 million dollars this year, while overall health care costs were about $39 million. Marc Dreyer with the state Pardon and Parole Board said there is pressure in Oklahoma not to release inmates early.
