Attempt to stop automatic income tax fails in Oklahoma House.

Democrats in the Oklahoma House tried to stop an automatic cut in the income tax set to go into effect this coming January. Citing the impending $611 million hole in the Fiscal Year 2016 budget, Democrats argued it was digging a fiscal hole even deeper. Republicans countered that while income tax revenues may decrease the state gets more money back in other ways but cutting the tax rate.
