Oklahoma lawmakers take the first step toward banning texting while driving. Representative Terry O'Donnell has introduced a bill to prohibit the practice, which is blamed for more than 300 deaths and 330 injuries per year. House Bill 1965 has passed out of committee, and now heads to the full House.
