DOCTOR AMANDA MOYER SAYS JUVENILE ARTHRITIS FALLS UNDER THE INFLAMMATORY UMBRELLA WHERE THE BODY'S OWN IMMUNE SYSTEM, FOR SOME REASON, IS EITHER HYPERACTIVE OR CONFUSED, BUT STARTS ATTACKING THE JOINTS.
AND THIS CAN CAUSE SWELLING, INFLAMMATION, WELLING SAID.

SO BUT SHOULDN'T IT BE, AS WE LOOK TO THE RUNOFF ELECTION IN AUGUST, AND YOUNG PEOPLE ARE SAYING ECONOMY, WE CAN'T AFFORD TO EVEN WE CAN'T EVEN AFFORD AN APARTMENT, YOU KNOW, AND YOU LOOK AT WAGES AND HOUSING COSTS.
SHOULDN'T THEY BE?
AND WHY AREN'T THEY?
WHY WOULDN'T THEY BE INVESTED IN.
THIS IS THE DICHOTOMY THAT POLITICAL SCIENCE HAS BEEN DEALING WITH FOR DECADES, WHICH IS WHY IS THE HIGHEST TURNOUT POINT THE PRESIDENTIAL WHERE MATHEMATICALLY THAT'S THE LEAST EFFECTIVE PERCENTAGE THAT YOU CAN ACTUALLY CHANGE IT.
WHEREAS THE LOWEST TURNOUT ALWAYS IS LIKE CITY COUNCIL BOND ISSUES, SCHOOL BOARD, SCHOOL BOARD, THOSE AFFECT MY ACTUAL PROPERTY TAX BILL THAT AFFECTS MY BUDGET.
YOU KNOW WHAT I'M SAYING?
SO THAT THOSE DEAL WITH MY ACTUAL DAY TO DAY LIVES UNLESS PEOPLE VOTE FOR THEM.
THAT'S A QUESTION THAT POLITICIANS STRUGGLE WITH GETTING PEOPLE ENGAGED WHEN, YOU KNOW, BUT THAT'S WE RIGHT NOW, LIKE WE TALKED ABOUT, YOU KNOW, ONE SIDE'S DOING IT, ONE SIDE'S NOT WITH AI.
I DON'T WORRY ABOUT THE PEOPLE THAT ARE NOT VOTING.
I'M TRYING TO GET THE PEOPLE THAT I KNOW ARE GOING TO GO VOTE TO MAKE SURE WE WIN 51, 50 PLUS 1%.
WOULD IT BEHOOVE A CANDIDATE JUST TO DO ADS ABOUT THE IMPORTANCE OF VOTING?
NOT THAT IT HASN'T ALREADY BEEN DONE.
IT'S BEEN I WANT TO SAY NO, IT WOULDN'T.
THAT'S FOR THE PARTY MAYBE TO DO.
IT'S FOR OTHER PEOPLE.
BUT CANDIDATES THEMSELVES NOW, THEY WILL HAVE THEIR OWN GET OUT THE VOTE OPERATIONS, RIGHT.
BUT THAT'S TARGETING PEOPLE THAT THEY ALREADY KNOW IS LIKELY TO SHOW UP AND VOTE ANYWAY.
BUT EFFORTS TO TO TAKE A GROUP OF NONVOTERS AND TRY TO SPUR THEM TO ACTUALLY SHOW UP HAVE NOT PROVEN VERY EFFECTIVE AND PROBABLY ARE NOT GOING TO BE.
NOW, THERE ARE SOME ELECTIONS WHERE YOU GET A LARGER.
SO WHAT WE SEE WITH DONALD TRUMP, WHEN DONALD TRUMP'S ON THE BALLOT, YOU GET A LARGER TURNOUT OF PEOPLE WHO DON'T HISTORICALLY VOTE REAL REGULARLY, WHO WILL TURN OUT FOR DONALD TRUMP.
RIGHT.
BUT THAT'S A DONALD TRUMP PHENOMENON.
THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU'RE GOING TO SEE IN ELECTIONS FOR OKLAHOMA GOVERNOR OR U.S.
SENATE, AND CERTAINLY NOT FOR MAYOR OR SCHOOL BOARD.
OKAY, WE'RE RUNNING UP ON OUR TIME.
I WANT TO GIVE ONE LAST QUOTE FROM HERE THAT THAT KIND OF AMUSED ME.

AND THAT USUALLY IF IT'S A CANDIDATE, THAT'S TO WIN THE ELECTION.
YEAH.
I THINK THE QUESTION OF MORALITY HAS BEEN PRESENT EVER SINCE WE'VE BEEN DOING CAMPAIGNS IN THIS COUNTRY.
IF YOU LOOK AT WHAT JOHN ADAMS AND THOMAS JEFFERSON SAID ABOUT EACH OTHER AND THE WAY THEY CAMPAIGNED, WE COULD ASK QUESTIONS ABOUT, WAS THAT THE MOST ETHICAL WAY OF DOING THIS?
SO THAT'S EVER GOING TO BE PRESENT.
AND I DON'T THINK IT SHOULD BE IGNORED, BUT I DON'T THINK WE CAN RELY ON CAMPAIGNS TO BE THE LEADERS IN ANSWERING THAT QUESTION.

SNOWPACK LEVELS ARE THE LOWEST THAT WE'VE EVER SEEN IN THE STATE.
I WENT THROUGH A YEAR BACK IN 2002 THAT WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THIS, BUT NOT QUITE AS BAD AS THIS YEAR.
I REALLY HOPE THAT WE WE CAN MAKE IT TO LATE JULY.
WOULD BE OUR IDEAL SITUATION, BUT WE MEET A LOT OF THINGS TO LINE UP FOR THAT TO PROBABLY HAPPEN.
LAST YEAR, RON INVESTED IN A NEW TYPE OF RAFT MANUFACTURED IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC THAT THRIVES IN LOW WATER CONDITIONS.
THOSE RAFTS ARE GIVING GUIDES MORE CHANCES TO GET ON THE WATER THIS YEAR.

THEY'RE UNLIKE ANY OTHER RAFT I'VE USED ON ANY OTHER RIVER I'VE WORKED ON.
THEY'RE A LOT MORE NARROW.
I'D ALMOST DESCRIBE THEM AS MORE CANOE ESQUE AS OPPOSED TO HAVING A FLAT BOTTOM.
THEY HAVE MORE OF A HOLE LIKE THIS.
SO A LITTLE BIT OF A V ON THE BOTTOM.
ANYTIME YOU HIT A ROCK WITH THAT FLAT BOTTOM RAFT, YOU'RE GOING TO GET STUCK ON THAT ROCK WITH THESE V SHAPED HOLES LIKE THIS.
ANYTIME WE HIT A ROCK, WE KIND OF BOUNCE OFF THEM ONE WAY OR THE OTHER, SO WE DON'T GET PINNED ON THE ROCKS IN THE SAME WAY.
ALSO, WITH IT BEING MUCH MORE NARROW DIMENSIONS THAN THE TYPICAL RAFT OUT THERE, THERE'S LINES THAT WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO TAKE IN A NORMAL RAFT FOR THE CLEAR CREEK WHERE WE'RE AT, THEY'RE PERFECT.

THE CLEAR CREEK NEAR IDAHO SPRINGS HAS BECOME A VERY POPULAR RAFTING VENUE, BUT IT HAS NO RESERVOIR FEEDS, SO NOTHING TO GIVE IT BEYOND WHAT NATURE GIVES IT.
THAT'S WHERE RAIN WILL BE VERY CRITICAL FOR THAT STREAM IF THERE AREN'T RAINS.
AND SINCE THERE'S NO AUGMENTATION OF WATER, THAT RIVER COULD END UP INSTEAD OF GOING INTO EARLY AUGUST MAY END UP IN LATE JULY, SO IT COULD END 2 OR 3 WEEKS EARLY.
WE'RE CONFIDENT THAT IT'LL BE A DECENT SEASON.
IT'S DEFINITELY ONE OF THE MORE EXASPERATING PARTS OF THIS INDUSTRY, AND THIS JOB IS NOT KNOWING WHAT OUR FUTURE LOOKS LIKE AND THE CONTINUITY ABOUT IT.
